Wessex Cyclo-Cross League information

Q) What license do I need to enter Wessex Cyclocross races?
A) The short answer is none! For a more detailed answer see below:
Under 12’s……No licence required. If you have a licence then it means the parents/guardians have given permission to race. If you don’t have a licence a parent/guardian has to sign “Signing on sheet” on race day.
Youth (age 12-16)….. No licence required. If you have a licence then it means the parents/guardians have given permission to race. If you don’t have a licence a parent/guardian has to sign “Signing on sheet” on race day.
For Regional Championships you must have at least a British Cycling Bronze membership, this because it is a British Cycling event and so BC members only, no day membership available.
National Trophy’s and National Champs you must have Silver or Gold membership and must have a Racing Licence.
Over-16’s..Seniors, Juniors, Vets… Minimum British Cycling Bronze membership for local Wessex races or pay £3 for a day membership for each race.
For Regional Championships you must have at least a Bronze membership, this because it is a British Cycling event and so BC members only, no day membership available.

Code of conduct
The Wessex League publishes a code of conduct which we expect all participants, spectators, supporters and parents to abide by. Please take a moment to read this.
We would like to stress that the Under 12’s race is run for fun and enjoyment and is not to be taken too seriously. We hope that through these events young riders can develop and enjoy participating in sport and in particular the sport of cyclocross. If you are a parent or supporter please give your positive encouragement and support to all the participating Under 12’s.
